Master Study #1

I recently discovered the artist David Jagger in a post by Howard Lyon on the  Muddy Colors blog.
When I see paintings like his, it takes me back to my first digital painting class when my professor had us practice painting in a digital programs by doing a 'copy' of a masterpiece.
It has been a long time since I did an exercise like this and I thought it would be good to start it up again. Here is the first of many digital master studies I plan on doing:

You may have noticed that I don't get around to posting to my blog as often as I would like, but the goal this year is to post at LEAST once a month. I do post to Instagram more often because of the convenience and I thought I'd share some of my lunchtime sketches from Instagram on my blog.
